Fourth Annotation.!
I am writing about a short part of a biography i found on justdisney.com. In this small section it tells how in 1918 Walt Disney tried to enlist in the military but was rejected. When this happened he enlisted on the Red Cross and was sent overseas to France, where he spent over a year driving an abulance and escorting Red Cross Officials around. This is an interesting fact that most people probally do not know.
Third Annotation Repost.!
My third annotation is from the same site of my second annotation. I looked around on the website and there is a lot of helpful information on it. The specific thing I was looking for this time around was an primary source, and I found some. The link to the picture is http://www.justdisney.com/images/walt_disney_photos/unedited_pics/WaltOscars.JPG.The picture doesnt look like much, but you know the saying a picture is worth a thousand words. This is Walt after his studio won 4 academy awards. I chose to look at this picture because it shows how sucessful his studio was.
Second Annotation Repost.!
This is my second annotation on Walt Disney. The spcific thing I looked at this time was how he actually made his animation. First a story board is made and the whole film is thought up. Then the directors come together and discuss what will be in the final cut. After that the dialogue is done so the animators will now what the characters will say. The characters are then thought of and sketches are made. They put all the sketches together and choose what ones will used. Last they put all the sketches all together and add the voices, and make the final edit then it is released for public viewing.http://www.justdisney.com/animation/animation.html. This whole site was made and written by Brad Aldridge Productions, Berkeley, CA. This site is just all about Walt Disney from his biography to media clips of him. This is a secondary source of information, but still helpful.
Thesis Statement Repost.!
Walt Disney was one of the most successful enturpenure's of the 20th century. Almost everything he got invovled in he just struck gold with. From small cartoon sketches to big animated live action movies. But everything wasnt allways going good. He hit many hard times during his stride to be a cartoon artist. He often times found himself at a bankrupt bussiness or having nothing at all but the clothes on his back. Walt Diseny was a pioneer and innovator, he had one of the most creative minds of not only his time but of all time.

My NHD Selection.!
This year for NHD the topic is individuals in history. I decided to work with Joe and Justin this year. We picked Walt Disney. This idea for Walt Disney was actually suggested by a friend. All three of us grew up watching Walt Disney movies like "101 Dalmations","The Lion King", and "Oliver and Company". These are all good disney movies and we think it would be fun to do him for NHD.

Steamboat Willie.!
Today I am writing about my first annotation. Steamboat Willie was the first ever animated cartoon with sound. The creator of this short cartoon was Walter E. Disney. This cartoon debuted Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse is Walt Disney's most known character. He is a human sized mouse who is always getting into trouble or making music.
In this video Mickey Mouse is working on a steamboat. He picks up Minney Mouse (Mickey Mouse's girlfriend) and her music sheets get eaten by a cow. Then they make music with the animals on the steamboat. Eventually he gets in trouble by the captain of the steamboat (a cat) and has to peel the potatoes. This cartoon is very clever, fun and catchy.

Service Learning again
Last service learning me and a couple of my compadres got kicked out of our group for no apparent reason. But it's okay because we started our own group doing what we origanlly wanted to do....school beautification. So we got split into different groups and me and hassaan got grouped up. We talked about making a mural in the lobby. That is all I have for now. I will keep you people updated.

last service learning project
We split up into 2 groups and walked around the school. We came up with ideas to make the school nicer and brighten it up. We said maybe we can make a school lounge and make use of the empty rooms. That was pretty much it.

Should Huck Finn be taught at CHS?
Huck Finn is a classic book. I think it should be taught at CHS because it is a good book. It also teaches you about adversity. In the book it also teaches you about how it was back in the time.
It is a good book because it has a lot of excitement. Huck Finn encounters a lot of problems along the way that makes the book more exciting. There is a lot of deception and a lot of twists and turns. That is what makes it such a good book.
The way it teaches you about adversity is basically the whole plot. The whole story is about a little boy who befriends a slave and looks at him as a father. They also overcome adversity throughout the story. If he got caught with a slave he would get in a lot of trouble but still he fights to save him. That is how i think the story is about adversity.
The story also teaches you about that time period. It teaches you how they talked back then. It teaches you what they believed in back then. It even teaches you about the agriculture and the economy back then. This is a good historical book as an exciting book.
So I think Huck Finn should be taught in CHS because it is exciting, it teaches you how to overcome adversity, and it is helpful historically. Now you should ask Huck Finn to be taught at your school!
